We’ve had a thrilling first half here at Wembley, and it could have ended on a sweet note for Chelsea.
The Blues dominated the early stages, the Reds came back and controlled the middle of the half, but it was Thomas Tuchel’s team who had the final chance of the 45 minutes.
A nice move from Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz set Mason Mount free, but the midfielder was only able to guide the ball a whisker wide having sprinted the length of the pitch.
A painful, and potentially crucial, moment.
