Chelsea vs West Ham – Team News

Chelsea face West Ham at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!

Thomas Tuchel was bound to make changes after a pretty dire performance in midweek, and it’s no surprise to see three changes for today’s game, with Kai Havertz back in the team leading the line, flanked by Mason Mount and Timo Werner up top.

Reece James is not in the squad at all, hinting at an injury, so it looks to be a back 4, with Cesar Azpilicueta at left back and Marcos Alonso at right back, with Andreas Christensen and Thiago Silva in the middle.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek will likely play the hybrid role we’ve seen before, dropping in as a central defender to make a 3 when defending.

Of course – maybe he’s replacing James on the right, and Azpi is in the back 3? Tuchel has used both systems in recent weeks, and there’s just no way of telling until the players are out on the pitch.

Here are the full team line-ups for Chelsea vs West Ham (kick off at 14:00 pm GMT)
