Chelsea face Southampton at St Mary’s in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
Thomas Tuchel was bound to tweak the team after a disappointing couple of results in a row, and he’s done just that.
It looks like we could be back in a 433, with Andreas Christensen at right back and Marcos Alonso at left back.
There’s a start for Ruben Loftus-Cheek in midfield, continuing his recent run of games, and he plays with Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante in midfield.
The front 3 sees yet another chance for the persistently disappointing Timo Werner, with Mason Mount and Kai Havertz hoping to keep up their solid numbers this season.
We desperately need a good result here, and it’s not going to be easy. Let’s hope this formation works better than it did against Brentford a week ago.
