Manchester United are keen on signing N’Golo Kante, according to a report in the Guardian today.
The France midfielder has just one year left on his contract, and increasingly has the power in his negotiations with Chelsea about his future.
The Blues seem uncertain over whether to extent his deal or not, and now that he has a good option elsewhere, he may choose to leave.
Kante has been brilliant for Chelsea since arriving from Leicester, but this season he’s seen injuries really hamper his ability to play regularly, and it feels like the first time the club might consider selling him.
It would be rather reminiscent of a move the Red Devils made for Nemanja Matic back in 2017. The central midfielder had limited time left on his deal at Stamford Bridge, and was able to force a move to United.
On the other hand, if Kante does push for a move, it’s easy to imagine Chelsea ruling out a sale to a rival like Man U.

There are better options out there for United. Tuchel has already said he only plays 40% of games because of injury, so to strengthen Chelsea finances by paying, probably, £20+,million for a 31 year old who can give maybe two or three seasons is ridiculous
Creo que actualmente Kante es un jugador emblema de la institución, habría que pensarlo dos veces antes de venderlo, su influencia en el vestuario como lo son Azpilicueta y Silva es importante.
