Chelsea starting to tire in long Dembele pursuit

Ousmane Dembele is soon to be a free agent, and with Barcelona unable to tempt him to re-sign, clubs across Europe have been making their offers.

Chelsea have been one of the most strongly linked, but according to an article in Catalan paper Sport today, the Blues are starting to “tire” in their pursuit of the winger.

They want to move quickly and complete signings, but Dembele is dragging his heels, much as he did with Barcelona to get himself into this situation.

The Blues now have Raheem Sterling in their sights, and given how unlikely it is that they sign both, it may be that Dembele’s chances of moving to Chelsea are seriously damaged now.

He will end up somewhere this summer, but we’re increasingly uncertain where that might be – and we now feel there’s a strong chance he ends up regretting not making a move to Chelsea when he had the chance.

  1. Dembele’s biggest problem is his agent. He is too greedy and does not really represent the long-term interest of his client. Dembele is very good but he is not a 80 million Euro player (40 million in salary and 40 million as a signing ‘bonus’). Barcelona offered him a salary of 8 million (and probably would go up to 9 ) but the agent turned it down. After all, the agent makes more money the higher the transfer fee.

I think Dembele would prosper by staying at Barca. In a few years, his salary would increase substantially. But at this point, he is not worth what his agent is asking for. He should get rid of his agent.

  2. No hay nada que pensar y demorar, deberían estar firmando ya a Raphinha carajo.
