Chelsea’s games against Everton last season were two pretty interesting games for the neutral.
The Blues dominated both games, but ended up with an astonishing one point from six.
The second of those games, in the post Real-Madrid doldrums, was truly bizarre, as Frank Lampard’s team dragged their way out of relegation threat with a surprise win at Goodison Park.

Chelsea will get their chance for revenge for those games on the opening day of the season, following the announcement of the fixture list today.
To make things more interesting, we expect major transfer activity between the two clubs. Chelsea are likely to want to shift some players on loan to Goodison Park, who wouldn’t be able to feature against us, but there’s also likely to be some sales to Lampard’s team, and we could see them line up against us on opening weekend – which is less than two months away now.
