The CIES Sports Observatory have just released their end of season update on player values, and there are two Blues in the mix.
Mason Mount – who is still just 23, is rated with a value of €100m, making him the 15th highest in world football.
His teammate Kai Havertz is close behind in 19th, with a nominal value of €93.6m. Not long ago their positions would have been reversed, with Havertz as a Bundesliga regular while Mount was still playing in the Championship.
Of course these valuations are more to do with age and contract length than anything else.
