As I slowly lose my mind and write my third article based on Romelu Lukaku leaving Chelsea just this afternoon, I see hope for the future when these will soon stop and Lukaku will be someone else’s problem!
He’s seemingly desperate to leave Chelsea now, and all the major outlets are today reporting that Chelsea are now deep in negotiations with Inter Milan to try and make the deal happen.

Some of the details are a bit contrasting though. But what’s clear is that Chelsea are asking for a £20m loan fee. However, what also appears clear is that Inter have no plans on paying that much.
The Times claim that Inter are prepared to offer between just £7 million and £9 million loan fee for Lukaku. Perhaps the silver lining here though is that they would pay all of Lukaku’s wages, something that we were unsure about happening from previous reports.
