Mason Mount is off with the England team, and their social media guys haven’t missed out on the chance to get some free content out of him.
They’ve done a quite interesting interview with him on the theme of “If I could…” and perhaps the most insightful question was “if I could improve one part of my game today, it would be…” and Mount’s answer was of course very informative about how he sees himself.
Like his predecessor Frank Lampard, Mount is the kind of player to work tirelessly on his game, and he picked out one area he still thinks he can improve in.
Mount said that the part of his game we would improve is his “finishing”.
“For a midfielder, if you can add goals to your game then it takes you to another level,” he explained.
Mount already scores plenty, and while he’s not quite as natural and ruthless in front of goal as Lampard was, who is? This season he was close to being our top scorer, which shows just how much the rest of the squad need to step up and help out.
