If you cast your mind back, Chelsea were actually strongly linked to Richarlison before he made his first Premier League move, to Watford.
The striker was making waves in South America, and there was a summer of transfer talk before he moved to Watford and we signed – Alvaro Morata.
After a few really good years in the Premier League, first with Watford and now with Everton, Richarlison is looking to move on.
That’s fair enough – he’s done his share of scrapping down at the bottom. And Chelsea are apparently on his shortlist.
We would love that – he’s a snarling, hard-working, tough as nails little blighter who would fight for every ball and make Romelu Lukaku look even more disinterested and ponderous by comparison.
Perhaps Everton’s interest in a few of our squad players could lead to a part-exchange deal being done? You don’t see many of them in the Premier League, but with Frank Lampard in charge there, there’s no way we can rule anything out.
