The Athletic have a long read today about Romelu Lukaku’s future, but it picks up on a lot of other parts of the story of Chelsea’s summer to come.
One important thing that Simon Johnson notes is the connection between Lukaku and some of his teammates who may also want out.
He suggests Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are all “considering their futures.” They don’t necessarily play in the same position as Lukaku, but their futures are all interrelated, because as Johnson points out “there are only so many players who can be let go at once.”
Given two first team central defenders are out the door already, Thomas Tuchel is going to have to juggle things very carefully as he looks to make major changes without totally tearing apart the dressing room.
Lukaku looks tricky to shift this summer anyway, but of that group it’s likely that only one or two would be allowed to leave immediately, no matter how much there’s a desire for a blank slate.

Am chelsea fan, to me as LUKAKU stays one more reliable forward like haaland be find
