Ben Jacobs of CBS had some great reporting on the Chelsea takeover, which has led to him getting a huge amount of credibility online.
He’s today reported a little on the Romelu Lukaku situation, including some interesting snippets about Armando Broja’s future.
The striker had a good season on loan at Southampton, and Chelsea now have to decide whether to loan him out again, sell him, or give him a chance in the first team.
According to Jacobs, Thomas Tuchel “wants to see [Broja] in preseason before deciding if he’s surplus to requirements.
Be interesting, if/when Chelsea let Lukaku go if that changes how they handle Armando Broja. West Ham and Forest both interested. Told Tuchel is still keen to assess him during pre-season before deciding if he’s surplus to requirements.

While this may well be very well sourced for all we know, it also smells a bit like some journalist waffle with no substance.
Of course Tuchel wants to take a look at Broja, and of course he’ll get a chance in preseason – as almost all players do. It’s just common sense really, but it certainly bodes well for the striker if its true that Tuchel wants to see more.
