Chelsea are in need of shifting a few of their current players in the squad if they are to want to sign any more new ones this summer.
That rule probably does not count for defenders, because they will be replacing Andreas Christensen as well as Antonio Rudiger, who have both already departed. But for other areas in the squad, you’d assume it will be one in one out with players needing to be sold in certain areas before getting others in.
Sources: Updates on SIX attackers Thomas Tuchel is looking to sign this window.
Timo Werner is certainly a player falling under that category now, and it seems that as well as Chelsea being open to selling him this summer, he has grown frustrated with his lack of regular game time in a Chelsea shirt and is keen to leave the club in search of more.
According to Sky Germany, a return to his former club RB Leipzig is an option ‘for all parties’ involved this summer, which could spark some late transfer window drama.
❗️News #Werner: On Friday we have reported excl. about the #CFC relation Tuchel/Werner & the possibility of his departure. Still early stage but a return to Leipzig is an option for all parties. We‘ve been told that it would be a long way to go. @SkySportDE @philipphinze24 🇩🇪
