The writer today has information about a potential exit for Timo Werner – although it’s not the kind of news you might be hoping for as a Chelsea fan.
He claims that Borussia Dortmund’s interest in signing the player “has subsided” due to the potential transfer fee and wages necessary to sign the forward from us.
Selling Werner is not a priority, but it would certainly allow Chelsea a lot more freedom to operate in the transfer market this summer. A lot of Blues fans would be very keen to see Dortmund make a move, whether permanent or loan-based.
The German club always have their ears open for a bargain though, and Werner is a proven striker in the Bundesliga. If we can establish a good price for him, we’re sure they will go for it eventually.
