Chelsea have decided to sell young talent Xavier Mbuyamba because of new FIFA rules about loans, according to a report from Nizaar Kinsella on Twitter.
The Evening Standard’s Chelsea correspondent Kinsella has written that the young Dutchman has been told he can leave the club because of the limits on loans of players not trained at the club that come into force next season.
Chelsea have agreed to sell Xavier Mbuyamba (among other overseas loanees) though as FIFA loan limits are placed on overseas loans.

According to Kinsella, there are various Dutch clubs interested in the centre back, who has not made a senior appearance for the club since arriving from Barcelona in 2020.
A bad injury ruined his first season, and last season was spent mostly working his way back to form and fitness in the youth team. Now it seems like he will never get a chance at Chelsea at all. A player in Mbuyamba’s position is worst affected by the rule changes, as they aren’t club trained and so won’t get a chance.
