Todd Boehly is currently working on a number of transfer deals for Chelsea at the same time right now as the new Chelsea owners look to back Thomas Tuchel with the targets he wants.
Today we shall name as ‘the Jules Kounde day’, because the last 24 hours has been full of stories suggesting Chelsea are closing in on signing the Sevilla defender. It looks like things have really progressed over the course of yesterday and this morning, and now, according to Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, an agreement on the fee is VERY close.
And according to the report, Boehly is currently busy working now on other deals as well, so the negotiations have been left to Clearlake’s Behdad Eghbali to close out, and it looks like he is doing just that!

If Chelsea can get this wrapped up now, Kounde will join Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling as Chelsea’s new arrivals already this summer, with more pending!

Chelsea FC has actually been the one slowing down on that deal thinking they would sign Nathan Ake. Now that Ake isn’t coming to the Bridge, they have turned back their attention to Kounde.
