Chelsea are jetting off on their US tour this Sunday, and the group who will be heading out has just been announced.
There’s some interesting names not on the list, likely to be transfer related.
Armando Broja’s chances of working his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans look pretty minimal now as he’s not in the group. Presumably that means he’s negotiating an exit, on loan or permanently. The same is true for Ian Maatsen, who has turned down a move to Feyenoord but is clearly not going to be playing in Chelsea’s first team next season.

It’s not just a question of the players missing – there’s also the names on that list (Ross Barkley, cough, cough) who should have left this club a long time ago – to see them going on the tour is a real face palm moment.
Let’s hope there are some new signings to add to the list sooner rather than later.
