Petr Cech leaving his role as technical director at Chelsea FC last week might have caused one transfer deal to collapse, according to the latest report.
Cech is a club legend, but the time was right for him to move on and depart the club after the new owners arrived and seemingly started a new era with new faces arriving at the club, and familiar faces leaving. Cech joined Marina Granovskaia, Guy Lawrence, and Bruce Buck in leaving the club after the new owners arrived.

But this departure might not just have effected the day-to-day operations, it might also effect one transfer deal in particular, the signing of a new goalkeeper.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Cech leaving could see a deal for The Blues to sign Chicago Fire stopper Gabriel Slonina collapse.
Chelsea had a verbal agreement with the club to sign the young goalkeeper, but Romano seemingly suggests that it was a deal that Cech was working on, so could now collapse.
