Chelsea might now be at a stage this transfer window where they need to turn their attentions to other signings at the back.
The defence has been the priority for Thomas Tuchel and the new owners for many weeks now, and after signing Kalidou Koulibaly, Tuchel has always wanted at least one more centre back.
Sources: Updates on SIX attackers Thomas Tuchel is looking to sign this window.
The Blues have been trying to get a deal over the line to sign Jules Kounde for Sevilla, but it looks like Barcelona are now currently leading that race. Chelsea will feel like they have yet again wasted precious time this transfer window, and they will need to turn their attentions to other defensive targets.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano have named the two that he believes Chelsea will start concrete negotiations to sign should the Kounde deal be dead in the water.
He says Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan, and Presnel Kimpembe from PSG are likely to be pursued by Chelsea.
PSG are asking for £55-60m for Kimpembe, Inter Milan are asking for £60-65m for Milan Skriniar who is appreciated by Tuchel, concrete negotiations will start with other targets soon if no green light for Kounde. (@FabrizioRomano) #CFC pic.twitter.com/mA76NKoRP8

leave kounde to stew in his own mess.
skriniar, and fast.
integrate colvill.
keep azpi
Absolutely agree leave Kounde well alone, get rid of all the deadwood in our squad, Werner ( who doesn’t know how to play onside),Alonso, Barkley, Emerson & batman, why we played these guys in USA I really don’t understand Tuchel, a waste of an airfare on these players, keep Dave in the team, I think a top 8 position is hopeful
Why buy a player who clearly is mercenary, and doesn’t want to play for the club. Also, get rid of this players who are happy with Tuchel! The man got Chelsea to 5 finals in 1 year!! Wish we could of kept Toni!!
This Chelsea owner is very stingy & gready, I don’t know why this man bought our team. When u have a man that want to buy good player with pinut that’s what you will see I just pray we make top 4 next season.
Chelsea have made Kunde more important than he actually is or could be. Let’s not forget, this is a player who might not fit in the premier league.
Chelsea should leave him alone with his choice for it is about to go downhill for Barcelona, their squad fitting, dressing room rifts and their wage bill.
Yes let leave kounde and go for skriniar cause he is fast
I agree with you. You don’t want to bring in a players who’s mind is elsewhere. We don’t want to have another Lukaku. Chase only willing and interested players, Chelsea!
Same old story —I said it ages ago, c.f,c always drag it out when transfers are concerned. As usual, hang about, and another club steps in. If you want a player get him, even if it costs more than you want to pay, because someone will, and he is gone. Last year again we finished up with Lukaku, our third, or forth choice out of desperation, and look what happened. This year is going to be the same, so change of owner will have made no difference.
CFC don’t also buy players strategically, you’re very right about the foot dragging
That is the second factual comment I have made, and it has not been accepted. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE BAD COMMENTS, GET YOUR FINGER OUT, OR DON’T ASK FOR OPINIONS. This is a club that I have supported for over 60 years, that gives me the right to my opinion
UTTER CRAP ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬
Players play where they want to, so why not talk to the player first en let him know the project and agree on it first if he really appreciate it he will be forcing his way out which sometimes helps clubs pay less 4 players since you can’t keep unhappy player, then after that go and start negotiations with the club when you already know nothing will hold u up, than agreeing with are club and then the player refuses to sign it makes no sense, Cfc fans we now know that Marina Granovskia, is a tough negotiator these were jst easy deals to handle,
Absolutely agree leave Kounde well alone, get rid of all the deadwood in our squad, Werner ( who doesn’t know how to play onside),Alonso, Barkley, Emerson & batman, why we played these guys in USA I really don’t understand Tuchel, a waste of an airfare on these players, keep Dave in the team, I think a top 8 position is hopeful for next season.
We need a striking force to destroy other team’s defense and get more goals……… Stop trusting these good for nothing strikers…….
Trust me we will end up in Europa next year….
Chelsea we all agree is a football club and a successful one at that in the almost two decades past but it goes without also saying that behind the successful running of the club is a business team that keeps everything together, effective and profitable. In business, once a merger/takeover has been concluded, it is a generally adopted business strategy for the consortium that takes over to “gradually ease out” the previous management in place. This is primarily to achieve a seemless transition of management team such that the business is not affected adversely and secondly to study adequately the business model operated by the management in place either for its merit or demerit.
Intentionally easing out or accepting the voluntary withdrawal by Maria Granovskaia was a wrong move in my opinion. She was a big wheel in the Chelsea “engine” off which many other wheels revolved. Despite not being proactive enough, most recently, to ensure our key defenders where tied to long term lucrative deals which has thrown us into this mess we’re currently in, she has hardly put a foot wrong when it comes to negotiating and finalising transfer deals. It was ill-advised for Tod Boehly to think he could immediately spearhead the transfer dealings of the club. Dealing with a baseball club in the United States is not exactly same as handling and running a football club in England with necessary transactional interactions with clubs all over the world. Maria did a fairly good job for which she was commended for as she got many notable deals for inbound and outbound players over the line
Marina Granovskia was the reason Chelsea lost Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and now about to lose Caeser Azplicueta & Marcos Alonso. She will frustrate quality players out of the team to make sure she has reason to go and buy new players at inflated costs. She was responsible for over pricing of players and payment of inflated costs of players. Thodd Boehly needed to engage a Director of football and retain Petr Czech.

We’re pleading the owner to help the manager so that Chelsea will remain like the Roman eral.
Forget bout kounde and sign Another center back quick
