Fabrizio Romano plays it both ways on Chelsea striker with future hanging in balance

We are swinging both ways when it comes to news on Armando Broja. At times it seems like he’s very close to leaving the club, at others it seems like he will get his chance this summer.

Insiders like Fabrizio Romano aren’t helping. In fact in this case, he’s playing it both ways in one Tweet.

He says that West Ham are in direct negotiations with Chelsea over the striker, but maintains the Blues want to keep him, and that Thomas Tuchel is a “big fan” of the burly Albanian forward.

Whichever way this one goes – and it does seem like it’s truly in the balance – Romano will claim he knew all along.

It’s still hard to see Chelsea allowing Broja to go knowing they will need to replace him right away. The right thing to do is promise him a minimum of 20 starts this season, and then give them to him.
