Another one bites the dust.
Robert Lewandowksi had been linked to Chelsea quite a lot once Romelu Lukaku had left earlier this summer, but it now seems certain he’s off to Barcelona.
Fabrizio Romano has just Tweeted that the Blues have been “informed” that the striker isn’t coming to them, and according to the insider that was the Pole’s intention all along. Somehow the Catalan club have magicked more funds from nowhere to sign another superstar.
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are informed on Robert Lewandowski situation: they’ve been told that his move to Barça is at final stage – never been any chance, he only wanted Barcelona. 🚨🇵🇱 #FCB
Lewandowski agreed personal terms with Barcelona 4 months ago: three year deal.

The party line from Chelsea – repeated by sources at the club as well as by Thomas Tuchel in his interview with the Telegraph today, is that a number 9 was not a priority anyway. The team played better with a fluid false 9 last season, and with Raheem Sterling signed they look likely to repeat that this time around.
Of course Lewa would have been a beast for us – but there’s not much you can do to beat Barca’s pull.
