“Just a matter of time” – Player has ‘accepted Chelsea as next club’

We are all now patiently awaiting another done deal at Chelsea and confirmation of a player arriving at the club.

We are all only too aware of a transfer not being completed until a club has officially announced it, and until then none of us will relax fully.

However, it is refreshing to read one of the best transfer new sources, Fabrizio Romano, confirm that Kalidou Koulibaly has accepted to join Chelsea from Napoli this window with a deal expected to be completed very soon now.

In fact, Romano says that Chelsea sources have told him the deal is now ‘just a matter of time’, which is pretty much the closest you will get to his famous ‘here we go’ phrase when a transfer is done.

Chelsea fans are haunted by any mention of Barcelona attempting to join the race, which is what they tend to do right now, but this one looks pretty safe now on the home stretch.
