Raheem Sterling rejected Spurs and Arsenal due to only wanting an ‘elite club’

Raheem Sterling is about to join Chelsea from Manchester City, with an announcement expected anytime now.

Sterling has all but confirmed the move to Chelsea by posting a farewell message to City fans on Twitter earlier today. And he is in LA now to complete the signing, do an announcement, and join up training with his new team mates.

Sources: Chelsea consider Leao, Gnabry, Dybala, and Depay as attacking targets.

It’s a very classy message to his fans, and he will now be gaining a whole new set of fans in Blue, but this time, Chelsea Blue.

In fact, what is being reported about Sterling today, will literally probably earn him his own statue already with some Chelsea fans. According to The Athletic, word from the Raheem Sterling camp was that he would only consider a move to an elite European club, which ruled out both of Arsenal and Tottenham, who were also interested in signing him.

Music to the ears of Blues fans!

  1. & exactly how long have Chelsea been an elite club? All very recent if we are honest so don’t get too carried away

  2. Don’t delude yourself! It’s Sterling … he wanted the club that was going to pay him the most money!

  3. If Chelsea had been an “elite club” they wouldn’t have been interested in a guy like Raheem Sterling. He is one the sports worst divers. And we must prevent diving to save Football; we must find another way to punish fouls in the 18 yard box. Think, fellas! What can be done to get rid of the penalty kick? Think!
