According to The Athletic’s super reliable David Ornstein, Chelsea have reached a ‘total agreement’ with Man City to sign Sterling in a deal worth £47.5m, with no add-0ns and will sign a five-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.
Fabrizio Romano also signed off with his signature ‘Here we go!’
Ornstein reports the Blues are scheduling a medical for London and if everything is successful the 27-year-old will join his new team-mates on their pre-season tour in the United States.
The Englishman has spoken to Thomas Tuchel already and is said to be ‘impressed’ with the German’s coach vision for the club.
Sterling leaves Manchester City where he spent seven years as a Cityzen and scored 131 goals in 339 appearances.
