Chelsea are gaining confidence in securing a deal to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla, with some big developments in negotiations yesterday.
Nothing is done or agreed yet in terms of a fee with Sevilla, but some good progression was made yesterday and multiple sources have reported that The Blues are now closing in on a deal to sign the French international defender.

There is still a slight risk that Barcelona could make a move in the final hours, having shown an interest, but as of now, it is Chelsea in the lead and they are confident of getting it done.
As per the reliable insider Ben Jacobs as well, Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Kounde already, which as he explains, is the difference between this and the Raphinha situation, the fact that Kounde has actually already agreed to join Chelsea and is happy to do so.
Just to reiterate another key point that differentiates Kounde from Raphinha. Chelsea have already agreed broad personal terms with Kounde, as previously reported. Players do agree deals with multiple clubs but fact Kounde happy with #CFC terms is also giving Chelsea confidence.
