It looks like Thomas Tuchel has taken some decisions on some of the members of his current squad out with him on the pre-season tour of America.
As The Blues landed in Orlando over night for the next game in midweek, news came out of a few players who have not gone with them.
Sources: Latest on Presnel Kimpembe to Chelsea.
According to Football London reporter Adam Newson [below], Billy Gilmour and Harvey Vale have joined the U23s group, who are on their own pre-season campaign in America currently.
Neither even made the squad in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Club America, and this would suggest departures are now imminent for both players, assumingly on loan.
Meanwhile, a player who was expected to be looked at by Thomas Tuchel this pre-season, Armando Broja, has reportedly returned home back to England, with a move away pending.
Understand Billy Gilmour and Harvey Vale have left the Chelsea first-team group – and are potentially joining up with the Dev Squad out here in the U.S.
Armando Broja, meanwhile, is on his way back to England tonight. Clubs still pushing to sign him.

Armando Broja will clarify his future very soon. West Ham are really close to reaching an agreement with Broja on personal terms, talks ongoing with Chelsea. 🇦🇱 #CFC
There are many clubs interested – Chelsea, on it. Broja’s on his way back to England as @AdamNewson reports. pic.twitter.com/4HuzSQsF37

Chelsea fans will feel aggrieved that players such as Ross Barkley and Michy Batshuayi are still in this squad, yet hugely talented youngsters have been sent home. It will not go down well at all.

Chelsea is busy chasing air as they leave our prominent young players go. This is real madness.
I think brojo is a better and a modern striker any club would like to keep, but I don’t know why Chelsea can’t see it
Why can’t Chelsea be as decisive with Ruben Loftus Cheek, Ross Barkley, Malang Sarr and Michy Batsuayi as they have been with the younger players?
Matsuayi ya es un descarte absoluto, tendría que haberse ido con Tronkaku
Vale is a prospect. Broja wants guaranteed minutes he hasn’t earned or to leave. 30 mil from West Ham is a deal for CFC. Gilmour flopped hard on loan and is not good enough for CFC
What was the reason why those three players left Chelsea first team squad the reason was not stated how would someone know what to comment about
I can’t fathom why Gilmour, Vale and Broja would be cut loose! What are Mitchy and Berkeley still doing at the Bridge???
We still don’t have a striker, so, Broja is indispensable.
We’ll compete in at least 4 competitions in the coming season…players need to be rotated to forestall fatigue and injury, so, why don’t we rotate these youngsters among those competitions???
Can someone tell what logic is there for selling Broja when we do not have an in and out striker when the lad gas clearly shown what he can give is this a other Sala to leave the brdge and come back big to embarrass us????
