Chelsea agree deal to sign Wesley Fofana with Leicester

We’ve finally done it.

After some long and tedious weeks of back and forth between the clubs, David Ornstein is reporting that there is an agreement between Chelsea and Leicester for the transfer Wesley Fofana.

After two bids were rejected, it seems like the third one this week has done the trick.

It all seemed rather inevitable after Fofana said his goodbyes to the fans two weeks ago, and was then left out for last week’s game.

He won’t feature in our game tomorrow of course, which is against… Leicester.

There’s then a tight turnaround for the Tuesday night game against Southampton, but next Sunday’s game against West Ham could see him slot right in after a full 7 days as a Chelsea player.

What a relief for Thomas Tuchel and the rest of the club. The suspension for Kalidou Koulibaly has reminded us all of how thin we are at centre back.
