Chelsea have been “encouraged” in their attempts to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan, according to Nick Purewal of the Press Assosciation.
The writer has become something of an ITK for Chelsea rumours, and late this evening he’s dropped quite the little bombshell in confirming that Chelsea are considering a second bid for the attacker.
#ChelseaFC understood to have been encouraged towards a second set of talks on a deal for Rafael Leao. A deal for the AC Milan forward this summer still seems a tall order for #CFC however

The result yesterday, plus what looks like an impending departure for Hakim Ziyech, will make signing new attacking talent feel like a priority.
Purewal doesn’t seem convinced that a deal is likely, however. He says a deal for the Portugal international seems a “tall order”.
After helping Milan win the league last year, Leao has attracted a lot of attention from across Europe. There are still plenty of people who aren’t convinced he’s the real deal long term, but he’s certainly explosive and dynamic, and that would all add a lot to a stale Chelsea front line.
