Chelsea named as Premier League favourites to sign Jamie Vardy

Jamie Vardy is a true Premier League icon, but his star is starting to wane, and as big players like Kasper Schmeichel leave Leicester this summer there’s a suspicion that other senior stars could be on the chopping block too.

The tumultuous events of Vardy’s private life this summer won’t have helped either. If there was ever a time to move on and have a final chapter elsewhere, this would be it, with Leicester finally happy to let him go.

The Sun quote Betfair odds which have the Blues as 5/2 favourites to be Vardy’s next team if he leaves the Foxe.

Of course these articles are always misleading, because they leave out the odds of Vardy staying put. The 5/2 chance given to Chelsea works out as a 28% chance of happening.

That means the odds of him staying put at Leicester are much higher, and frankly we would rate his real chances of coming to Stamford Bridge as well under 10%.

  1. It’s rubbish. Fiction. Why on earth would Vardy move to one of the super rich clubs and play second fiddle to someone else?

    1. He would have an opportunity to challenge for titles, and would not be second fiddle to Chelsea’s current striker options.

      1. Garbage! Vardy wouldn’t be a starter for Chelsea – only a fringe player and primarily a sub. At least at Leicester he’d maintain his star rating and, fitness permitting, an almost guaranteed place in the team every game!

  2. YOU WOULD SIGN VARDY OVER RONALDO. I FUCNKG HATE THIS TUCHEL GUY, HES a pandering Fraud
