Chelsea are on the hunt for new defenders this transfer window, and of course we have all see the main names being linked in recent days.
But there is a new name on the horizon, one we have actually not seen linked before, which is mad because we have seemingly been linked with almost every top player out there!
But according to Firenze Viola, Chelsea are one of the teams interested in signing Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
I am not too sure on the source of this information, but it comes from Italian journalist Enzo Bucchioni.
He doesn’t give much information other than Chelsea being interested in signing the 24-year-old Serbian international.
Milenkovic can play centre-back or right-back and he has just a year left on his current contract at Fiorentina. So IF this is true, he would certainly be a cheaper option to Wesley Fofana, who Chelsea are currently trying to sign from Leicester.
Which player do they want to sign it looks like they want everyone on the market.

Now i can say that i’m more than excited about the new signnings but a bit worried about how our new owner is trying hard to spend that huge sums of money to sign the two targeted additional centrebacks namely Fofana n Josko Gvardiol, they’re very good n young talented for our future projects but u can see clearly that their clubs are not yet ready to release them hence the high price tag placed on them while the’re other cheaper option out there namely Benjamin Pavard, Nikola Milenkovic who is also just 24yrs old n lastly Milan Skriniar. Sometimes experience also count so u guys should take a second look at it n take the right decision that’ll benefit my beloved team Chelsea. Right now we’ve more addition recruitment to make upfront n we were suggesting a very creative attacker in the person of Wilfred Zaha n now another name came up that Aubanmeyang Ronaldo n also not forgetting Benjamin Sesko n the young Italian midfielder. I just want to plead that they should make sure the secure the two Benjamin Sesko n the young Italian midfielder first before anything else becos our opponents are also chasing them so faster we secure abdeal with them the better. We (Chelsea) definitly need another centre back. We should be looking at players that will solve our immediate probles for the next 2 possible 3 seasons then we can look to the future. Any young player with 3/4 years in his contract will cost an arm n a leg to buy. The price of a player goes up by 10 million + when we try to buy anyone so we have to be smart. Leave Fofana for next season. I thought we should have Philips from Liverpool who would have been a good acquisition at a resonable price.
