Inter’s interest in Trevoh Chalobah rumbles on.
We reported a couple of days ago that the Italian club had asked about the young defender as part of the deal to take Cesare Casadei from their academy to Chelsea, but nothing had been worked out.
The conclusion of that deal hasn’t ended their interest in the defender however. In fact, the regularity with which we’re hearing about it makes us increasingly believe there’s plenty of truth to this.
Sempre Inter today report that Francesco Acerbi from Lazio is another Inter target at the back, but the club won’t ramp up their interest in him until they have more information about whether Chalobah is going to be available.
That’s a pretty major compliment. We would still be very much against selling or even loaning out Trevoh, but if he’s keen to go we’d love to see him go and play in Serie A with his old teammates Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori
