Chelsea fans got a bit excited last night about one new transfer rumour that bubbled up.
The Times reported that Chelsea were in talks over the weekend to sign forward Rafael Leao from AC Milan.
Sources: Chelsea agree personal terms with Anthony Gordon!
He is a player who has been mentioned with Chelsea quite a bit over the last couple of months, but the belief was that he would be too expensive and Milan would not entertain a sale this window. There has even been talk of a new contract being discussed with his club.
I was very sceptical and still am.
Leao always been high on the list, but expectation was/has been the fee would be too high and AC Milan's stronghold and reluctance to sell. Let's see if something can be done. https://t.co/h3NntIQy9k

Matteo Moretto is known as a reliable reporter who writes for Relevo in Spain, and he confirmed in a tweet last night that it was true that Chelsea have been speaking with AC Milan regarding Leao. However, he also states that there is no offer from Chelsea and Milan would want his full release clause of 150m euros, hence why I remain very sceptical.
Es cierto que el Chelsea ha preguntado por Rafael Leão. Hay conversaciones entre las partes, tal y como ha adelantado @DuncanCastles. Pero NO hay oferta oficial, firme. El Milan se remite a la cláusula: 150M€.
