Could we be in for a very late shock in this transfer window with just a couple of days left?
Well, we have all seen the drama and craziness before during a transfer window, so there is no way that anyone should be completely ruling anything out at all at this stage. History suggests that would be daft!
Chelsea have been linked with Cristiano Ronaldo all summer, but they haven’t really made any solid moves due to Thomas Tuchel being against the idea. But could a late move still transpire should the Blues boss change his mind and not get his main target Pierre Emerick Aubameyang over the line?
Transfer insider Ben Jacobs says it would not remotely surprise him. Jacobs penned an exclusive bumper Chelsea transfer news article for my site Si & Dan Talk Chelsea today, covering Aubameyang, Ronaldo, Neymar, Zaha, Gordon, De Jong, Gallagher, Gilmour, Broja, and much more.
Jacobs said: “It wouldn’t remotely surprise me, should Aubameyang not arrive, if Jorge Mendes makes one last attempt to get Chelsea to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Thomas Tuchel’s position hasn’t changed, but Chelsea’s attack hasn’t yet been as free-scoring or fluid as he would have hoped. A loan move for Ronaldo would add instant goals. He would also arguably be a better fit in Tuchel’s system than under Erik ten Hag. But it’s still a long-shot because Chelsea’s American owners, however ambitious (and intrigued by Ronaldo), won’t force any player on Tuchel.”

tuchel suppose to sign ronaldo since the absence of werner and lukaku and yet no striker
