There has been a couple of big surprises in this transfer window so far, especially at Chelsea.
The signing of Carney Chukwuemeka literally came from nowhere and wasn’t reported at all until Chelsea themselves tweeted that they had reached an agreement with Aston Villa to sign the midfielder.
Now, late last night, a report came out from Gianluca Di Marzio saying Chelsea had made an offer to sign Arsen Zakharyan from Dynamo Moscow.

Chelsea’s interest hadn’t even been previously reported, and now his agent is even confirming that Chelsea are close to signing him.
As reported on Russian website Sports RU, Pavel Andreev, Zakharyan’s agent said: “It’s true. Everything is close.”
It goes to show that if a club, a player, or a anyone else wants to keep a transfer quiet until the final stages, then they absolutely will.
Zakharyan is a 19-year-old attacking midfielder and many see him as the next big wonder kid coming through.
