Brendan Rodgers has just taken his press conference ahead of this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, although of course the focus was on the transfer saga around Wesley Fofana.
In quotes picked up by the Leicester Mercury, Rodgers confirmed the two rumoured bids from Chelsea we had already heard about – and softened the club’s stance in general terms from “we won’t sell” to “we don’t want to sell.”
Brendan Rodgers confirms both rejected bids for Wesley Fofana. Once again his language has softened from “not for sale†to “not looking to sell.†Chelsea continue to push.

Asked if there had been bids for the defender Rodgers admitted:
“There were two, but nowhere near what the club would even think about. The point to reiterate is that we’re not looking to sell Wesley.”
Ok, they’re not looking to sell him, of course not. But that’s a different line to the one we’ve heard so far that they wouldn’t sell him at all. This is now saying that Chelsea just need to offer enough money to get their man, and that shouldn’t be too hard if we’re really just £5m to £10m away from what the Foxes want.
Behind the scenes right now, we would imagine they’re scrambling to start working on deals to replace him.
This is getting boring!!!! How many players has the club wanted, but failed to get ?? They finish up going to another club because C.F.C. drag it out. If you want Fofana pay the 85 million, or as usual someone else will and take him. We will then yet again finish up chasing anyone even though they are fifth or sixth choice out of desperation.
