Gary Lineker is the world’s most famous Leicester fan, and also happened to be a top scorer for his country at a World Cup, so there aren’t many people better suited to tell us how good Foxes defender Wesley Fofana is.
He’s about to make a huge money move to Chelsea from the King Power stadium, and despite the almost world-record fee, Lineker reckons Chelsea are getting a good deal.
His Tweet this morning, after the news broke that the deal was done, hailed Fofana as “the most prodigiously talented young central defender in the world.”
Gutted to lose him but wish @Wesley_Fofanaa well. Every player wants to play @ChampionsLeague football so it’s understandable. @ChelseaFC fans, you’ve got the most prodigiously talented young central defender in the world. Yes, I believe he’s that good. https://t.co/iq1TjycLkD

Those are big words, and he’s not qualifying them at all. Let’s hope he’s right. He’s seen a lot of Fofana up close, and has watched him playing since his recovery from a broken leg suffered a year ago.
He also was very understanding about the France international’s desire to play in the Champions League. We fear some other Foxes fans won’t be as understanding.
