AC Milan have reportedly joined the chase for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.
Sempre Inter report that the Italian side have joined Inter and Roma in making inquiries about the Blues defender, who unexpectedly broke into the first team squad last season and did really well in the games he played.
The sense that he’s in demand from top teams shows what a leap he made in just 12 months. The season before last, he was with Lorient in Ligue 1 – not exactly a glamour destination.
Milan had great success with signing Fikayo Tomori from us, and now appear to be looking to repeat the trick with Chalobah.
The fact that there’s so much interest in Trevoh should be a reminder to Chelsea that he’s a player they should think long and hard about letting go. Even assuming they sign another defender, there are a LOT of minutes to go round this season.
