Thomas Tuchel charged by FA after Anthony Taylor comments

Thomas Tuchel has been charged for his comments after Chelsea’s draw with Tottenham a week ago.

The manager questioned whether Anthony Taylor, who bungled a number of decisions during the game, including missing a hair pull before the final corner of the game.

The Daily Mail report on the FA’s charge says that Tuchel has been charged with “improper conduct” because he brought the referee’s integrity into question by saying Taylor should no longer referee Chelsea game.

It’s a fair cop, really.

What’s more interesting in the outcome of Tuchel’s touchline ban. It was suspended for yesterday’s game while they work out whether he’s earned one. We would imagine it will be confirmed this week, and Tuchel will not be present on the touchline for our game against Leicester this weekend.

With hindsight, it would have been better to simply take the medicine yesterday, when Tuchel spent the whole of the second half slumped in the dugout anyway.

  1. Well it seems referees and VAR refs are more favoured for their ineptitude in officiating than the players and the coaches in English premier league. It’s absolutely killing the beauty of the game.

  2. A professional referee with over 30 years experience cannot see the hair pull as a foul when sitting in a position set up to just do that exact thing. Absolute rubbish he chose not to. As for Taylor he can spot from thirty yards away and from behind that the Spurs player got the ball when he tackled Havertz but he too could not spot the hair pull from ten yards away, again he chose not to.

  3. Referees Can Comfortably And Consistently Make Mistakes Cos They Know They Won’t Be Punished. Corrupt FA

  4. The English FA is responsible for the poor referring decisions that we always see. Particularly regarding Anthony Taylor who has consistently been terrible in games involving Chelsea. Is it a case of imperfection or a shear case of hatred for a particular club that brings out his inefficiencies?

  5. Refs should just tell us which team will win even before the game get started…sins they are above the law…

  6. Both the referee and CAR is a total dutty hypocrite and they are not being fair and you guys need to do better cause you guys sick me stomach

  7. Am with TT. Anthony Tailor had formed a response set against Chelsea. Anytime he officiates Chelsea match especially with big teams his bias is obvious. English FA too overlooked these excesses. VAR referees may have technical fault and will not capture it but can only expose our players faults. We are Chelsea we must bounce back with or without suspension. But they (FA & Tailor) are killing the sweet spirit of the game. A referee is not infallible

  8. I guess corruption was inherited alongside with our colonialism, why will you ban a coach for saying his mind about what he think is right, is it that the official in charge of var blind or he was bribe to over look the hair pulling. And no punishment was been giving to those said officials.Corruption at it highest order

  9. It seems like government and FA they got a plan of weeping of Chelsea because it started with Abromovic and now our coach one thing they have to know!!! that they will be a loose that is them not us because we can switch the surpot to any team like real Madrid an so many team in Europe

  10. Why I’d FA afraid of punishing referees? You mean they over looked the hair pull? A dangerous sign. That’s not healthy at all. Or is because it’s Chelsea? Tailor is an enemy to Chelsea and FA knows, or will they pretend not to know. I suspect FA made him Chelsea’s enemy. Why must referees and players suffer the ineffectiveness or inefficiency of referees and VAR. Or is planned deal? Players and referees can’t say their minds. That’s wrong and must be condemned by all and sundry.

  11. Tuchel is right about the referee, the ref was partial in that game and should never ref any Chelsea again

  12. The FA should pronounce punishment for the VAR officials and Anthony Taylor for obvious reasons of negligence. Otherwise the FA should earn their name – CORRUPT.

  13. FA went back to watch the repeat video and they saw the referee error yet no charges for the referee this is just too unfair,I think the refs should be punish as well as you charge the coaches or players

  14. I think the EPL is more corrupt than the Ghana government. They know the right thing but because of the hatred the have for Chelsea, the intentionally fix matches with the referees to rob Chelsea because the know Chelsea is the best club in the Whole of UK in the past two decades unarguably. The hate Chelsea because the none of the English is fit enough to buy the best club in the world at large. Shame unto you English FA , Anthony ‘ master of robbery’ Taylor and Mike dean.
You will be punished one-day ….. Your thoughts will continue to hunt you. You will retire with nothing because you are rendered useless that even Ghana Premier league will not accept you
