Chelsea were embarrassed on the pitch tonight, but their captain got embarrassed before the teams made it out of the tunnel.
The Southampton mascot reached his hand out for a handshake with Cesar Azpilicueta, then pulled it back when Azpi responded.
It’s a cheap shot, one that’s worthy of a 9 year old… which, to be fair, is exactly who is doing it.
It won’t have made Chelsea fans smile, but it was certainly better than what we saw on the field moments later.
