Thomas Tuchel has been sacked – now come the briefings.
CBS Sport’s Ben Jacobs has a direct line to the ownership, as we can tell from the way he now gets these exclusives when before he had none.
His report on the Tuchel sacking is therefore interesting, if a little biased.
He pointed to communication issues between the manager and the new owners that played a major part in the breakdown of their relations.
It’s all rather clumsy – apparently they wanted to do daily calls, and set up a Whatsapp group to coordinate through the summer, while Tuchel wasn’t keen.
We suppose he must have been distracted by the fact he had to coach the team.
There are various other bits thrown in about a “breakdown of communication” and the coach’s “fiery” reaction to the loss against Arsenal in preseason, but none of it does a very good job of convincing us that they’ve made the right decision.

Right on time!!!!!!I really really hope we will get Potter not some big name crook
So sad
