Some rare non-transfer news on transfer deadline day now and it involves two of Chelsea’s best players.
According to Simon Johnson of The Athletic, Chelsea have begun talks with Reece James and Mason Mount over new long-term deals.

He claims that the club’s new owners have made agreeing an extension with the England duo one of their priorities since taking over in late May.
Both are considered key players for Chelsea for the now and for the future, and it will be very important to get them both on longer and more improved contracts, being two of the current lowest paid players at the club.
And more importantly, Mount is wanted by three of the biggest clubs in England as well as others from abroad, while James is admired by Manchester City and Real Madrid. So it is essential we get the new contract deals done to put other clubs off.
James is fine, but is Mount really Worth it.
