It was an easy night to criticise and pull things apart yesterday as a Chelsea fan, we had just witnessed one of our most shocking performances so far under Thomas Tuchel, and these performances have become too regular lately.
It’s concerning, and the finger of blame is being pointed all over the place right now. People are looking for answers and scapegoats, but warranted questions are being asked. As a fan, you have every right to be asking these questions. And rightly so, questions are being asked right now about Mason Mount, who’s form this season has been very poor, like many others.
Of course, it’s not all on him, there are many issues and many losses of form from the players and the manager. But former Chelsea player Frank Leboeuf probably has a point in what he said after Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb last night, as cited below by Chelsea HQ:
Frank Leboeuf: “I’m sorry, Mason Mount disappeared. I want to know where he is. He’s fantastic, a great player, but his involvement in the game was not enough.”

Mount must be benched. Pulisic and gallecher may be better option for us now. I have realized that when his position comes under threat he comes back better.
