Andy Townsend is hardly an insider at Chelsea, but he knows the club and pro football, and his take on tonight’s showing was pretty damning.
He said that “Tuchel looks like he’s fighting with the squad at the moment,” after another poor performance. There’s a real lack of effort and motivation all round, there can be no denying it.

While Townsend has probably put it a bit literally there, we know what he means by that sentiment. There is no team spirit, and no passion at the moment.
There are players in this squad that just don’t want to be there. Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are prime examples. They don’t want to be there and the club wanted them out, but no buyers were found and now they’re stuck here all year, stinking the place up.
A bad transfer window doesn’t take long to come back to bite you, and this one is already looking like a disaster.
The team spirit will come back with Tuchel’s departure.Two thirds of the squad does not want to play for him.They simply sabotage him.On top of that all the pictures with the new signings are with the new owner not Tuchel.it’s obvious we are seeing the end of the German
