When the teams were announced for yesterday’s game against Wolves, we were particularly excited to see both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Conor Gallagher in the mix.
The former had played well against AC Milan in midweek, and the latter won last weekend’s game against Crystal Palace with a brilliant strike. Both of them have had their ups and downs as Chelsea players, but today seemed like a good chance to see them in action.
With Jorginho holding, they did exactly what we wanted. They added hard running and attacking threat to the midfield 3, while the Italo-Brazilian worried about controlling the game and staying in front of the defence.
It’s the real strength of this formation, with three in the middle, that it allows this setup, and these two are the perfect players to take advantage of it, with the ideal skillsets to maraud forward with energy and enough attacking threat at the other end.

Es un verdadero sueño ver a nuestras propias estrellas juveniles abriéndose paso anhelo verlos convertidos en leyendas vivientes y tener en cada línea de juego a la mejor cosecha de nuestra cantera
