Graham Potter admits he had expensive footballer’s haircut as part of glow up

Graham Potter’s nice jumper fitted in perfectly in the Champions League as the Chelsea coach beat AC Milan tonight, leading to discussion of the manager’s “glow up” over the last few years.

From funny looking Brighton coach to masterminding wins in the San Siro, his look and his credentials have gone up a notch.

He admitted in quotes picked up by BBC Sport that he was aware of the talk about his upgrades, but he insisted it was all just down to a flash haircut he got from a hairdresser recommended by the players.

His manner is so disarming, and a far cry from the preening arrogance of some top coaches (which we also enjoy, just in a different way).

The glow up has worked wonders, and he’s finally got the top job his coaching merited. It will take more than nice haircuts to keep him in the hot seat – but they certainly aren’t hurting.
