Kai Havertz running out of chances as he fails to impress under latest manager

Chelsea fans are really starting to reach their limit with Kai Havertz.

Three things have given him an exceptionally long grace period at the club.

Firstly, his obvious talent. We’ve seen flashes of his amazing skillset in his time at the club, just enough to keep us believing.

Secondly, the disasters that have taken place around him. With Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku struggling so badly alongside him, the focus was rarely on Havertz.

Thirdly of course was the goal in the Champions League final. That buys anyone some extra time.

But he’s now had so many chances, over several seasons and under several managers, without ever looking like establishing himself as a key player. Last night he was as frustrating as ever, and online it was clear to see how many people were giving up on him.

There are some real talents pushing him for minutes now, and once Graham Potter has given him a fair chance, his future looks pretty bleak.
