Chelsea have reportedly put a new contract offer on the table for one of their key midfielders.
Both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante have contracts running out next summer in 2023 and come January they will be able to agree a pre-contract with another club if they have not agreed and signed new deals with Chelsea by then.
Sources: Chelsea monitoring Juventus midfielder, as well as Southampton goalkeeper!
According to The Evening Standard, Chelsea have an offer now on the table for Jorginho, but the Italian international has rejected said offer. Or how they word it, not come to an agreement on the fee, which surely means the same thing, no?
They claim that Jorginho has been presented with initial terms on an extended deal that would keep his wage similar to his current £120,000-a-week.
However, he has apparently asked for a pay rise that would see his salary rise in line with Cesar Azpilicueta, who recently signed a new £150,000-a-week deal.

Let him go thanks for playing at chelsea fc all past years
Jorginho deserve the rise he is demanding for on the new contract. He has done extremely very well for the past two seasons. If nothing, the penalties he has scored should make the management to increase his weekly pay. I support his demand.
He had better not sign…..good riddance! He’s the king of back passing and just too sluggish for my liking. Get rid of him!
I think it will be good and best if the team agree to offer new contract to Jorginho like they agreed to cesar azplicueta. They should be reminded that he’s one of the best player in the club and ones of the best midfielder in the world and he still have enough time to shine. To keep the player happy and showing love over him, they should raise his salary jc like they did to azpli.
Give him 150,000 because he is a good ball distributor
They should let jorginho go sharp sharp without even wasting time
I think Jeorginho deserve it! If we look at his abilities, capabilities and contribution to the team he is the best in his position with two to three steps ahead of Loftus-Cheek who sometimes plays the same position as his though Kovacic does help in his absence but not often.
Looking at his quality leadership skills, ball skills and key passes especially in debys he knows how to cool down the tempor of opposition team to maintain team spirit. I think it’s best for the team to give him at least one more year and reach his demand.
