“I will call him” – Chelsea player ready to support Raheem Sterling after incident

Chelsea player Raheem Sterling had an awful incident to deal with yesterday, forcing him to drop out of the England World Cup squad for now.

His house in the UK was raided by armed robbers whilst his wife and young children were in the house. Sterling obviously has left for home as soon as he heard and missed England’s 3-0 win over Senegal last night.

Todd Boehly hoping his relationship with West Ham will help them get ahead to sign Declan Rice!

Sterling had two of his club team mates playing for Senegal last night, one of which was unaware what had happened until he was interviewed after the game.

Kalidou Koulibaly was obviously immediately concerned about Sterling and says he will call him as soon as possible to see how he was.

“I really didn’t know. I’m really surprised,” Koulibaly told reporters after England played Senegal.

“I hope his family is good. Now I will call him and see what happened to him. But I hope he will be good and his family is good.”

And of course, those sentiments are shared with all of us here. We hope that Sterling’s family are OK during this awful time.
