Chelsea are reportedly confident of signing one of the next biggest things to come out of Brazil.
Of course, Brazil have produced many stars over the years, but they are bringing top quality players through the ranks all the time, and we know Chelsea will be watching many of them.
The Blues new owners are looking to bring in as many top young rising stars as they can across to Stamford Bridge to join Chelsea, and the latest one they are trying to secure is Vasco da Gama midfielder, Andrey Santos.
And according to a report from 90min, Chelsea are confident of getting a deal done to sign Santos ahead of the competition.
Chelsea and Barcelona both made moves to try and win the race for Santos, but it is Chelsea who believe they are now well placed to seal a deal. They reportedly hope an agreement will be tied up before the January window opens, at which point they will announce a deal – believed to be worth around £12m but possibly rising to around £20m including add-ons.
