Chelsea pushing for star talent to join despite warnings

Chelsea are undeterred by Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas’s public hands off warning for Malo Gusto, reports The Evening Standard.

Aulas took to Twitter yesterday to “confirm” that Malo Gusto would be staying at Lyon until at least the summer of 2023.

Chelsea are understood to be continuing to push for the deal to happen, though it is unclear whether they will agree to what seemingly Aulas wants, for Gusto to stay at least until the summer.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Egbhali want to continue their revamp and the Blues are pushing hard for more deals to happen, according to the report, they haven’t given up on a deal for Amadou Onana from Everton despite a opening approach being turned down.

Chelsea will undoubtedly know about Aulas’s public tactics with previous transfers and it seems a second bid could be on the way soon for the talented 19 year old right back.
